SOFA beds from Berwick Rotarians will bring families together at Casey Hospital.
Rotary Club of Berwick president Gus Dominguez, Bob Lay, Jim Wilson and Sam McCurdy visited the Children’s Ward to see the three arm chairs – valued at more than $4500 – in action.
They fold out to create beds so that parents can stay overnight beside their ill children.
Nurse unit manager Liz Brown said the ward could do with at least another three sofa beds to meet the demand.
Mr McCurdy said the club hoped to make another donation in the next financial year.
