Intruders assault resident

A BERWICK resident has been assaulted after two people with weapons broke into his home and made demands.
The offenders were armed with weapons when they confronted the three occupants inside the Coolabah Grove home and demanded property just after 9pm on Thursday 11 June.
A scuffle soon spilled outside where one of the residents was assaulted and later treated for head injuries.
The attackers fled the scene.
