Mixed results for Hampton Park

HAMPTON Park is into the bowls season for 2007-8 with a few mixed results.
The club’s VLBA A2 team played its first game at home against Edithvale with two rinks up and two down. Edithvale scored 84 shots and Hampton Park 98 shots to get the two points for the win.
Round two was played at Beaumaris with Hampton Park winning on two rinks. A 26-shot loss on one rink allowed Beaumaris to pick up the two points for the win.
The RVBA division 4 team travelled to Chelsea and let the win slip through their fingers late in the second half. The Parkers picked up four points and Chelsea 14.
Our RVBA division 7 team played Willow Lodge at home and won 153 shots to 62 to receive 18 points. The Hampton Park teams on rink one and three both scored 8s on 21st end.
The Sunday Roast at the club to raise funds for “Emma” was a very successful and enjoyable day.
Practice is on Thursday from 4.00 pm and is open to all club members (RVBA and VLBA). Bankers will be playing every Saturday at the club.
