Foretaste of many sports

READY Steady Go Kids is aimed at teaching young children to enjoy different sports.
The group’s sports instructor for Narre Warren and Cranbourne Helen said it was about trying something new and a lot more.
“We teach children 2.5-six years 10 different sports – five per term,” she said.
“It’s aimed at developing and enhancing gross motor skills, co-ordination and correct posture and teaching sportsmanship and teamwork.
“The best feature of Ready Steady Go Kids is the fact that the children get a chance to play different sports,” she said.
Trying all sports means they get a chance to find some they love and will continue with into school, and it’s also a lot of fun according to Helen.
“We have fully trained staff,” she said.
“All staff have a working with children’s check and certificate in coaching principles, and there is a one staff member to six kids ratio. Maximum is 12 kids to a class.”
To see what they do, come along to the “come try it day” at Endeavour Hills Leisure Centre, Endeavour Hills, on 9 July, from 10am to noon.
Ready Steady Go Kids offers a free trial class for every new child. Find them at Cardina Life at Pakenham, Narre Warren Scout Hall, Casey Leisure Centre and Cranbourne Indoor Sport Centre, phone 1300766892 or www.readysteadygokids.com.au.
