BERWICK has ranked as the second highest lotto-winning suburb for 2015 so far.
The latest Tatts statistics, released this month, show Berwick had the second highest total division one lotto prize amount in Victoria from 1 January to 30 June this year – with three prize-winners totalling $487,129.31.
Bayswater came first, with another three prize-winners combining for more than a whopping $2 million.
Cranbourne and Keysborough also fell into the top 10, ranked seventh and fourth respectively.
Overall Victoria’s south-east region scored the coveted title of ‘Victoria’s 2015 Mid-Year Lotto Hotspot Region’, with 16 division one prizes won in the area.
“It’s great to see so many prizes have gone to Tatts players in Melbourne’s south-east suburbs so far this year,” Tatts spokesperson Claire Taylor said.
“Players should remember that despite certain areas topping the division one winning lists to date in 2015, it doesn’t mean a ticket purchased in those suburbs has a greater chance of winning.
“Lotto is a random game of chance, and there is no way of predicting where the next winning entry will be sold.”
