NARRE Warren Library is running a workshop to help seniors document their family history.
Author Hazel Edwards will attend the event and assist participants on writing pieces aimed at grandchildren.
Library officials said many retirees become interested in writing their family history or travel stories for their children and grandchildren.
This workshop is aimed at those who have stories to pass on, but need to shape them for younger listeners or readers.
The workshop provides skills in shaping those stories so they will be accessible by young readers and looks at varied formats such as e-books and photographic and audio stories.
The emphasis will be on writing for children.
The session will be held at Narre Warren Library on Saturday, 20 October from 10am to 3pm.
A light lunch will be provided.
A City of Casey Ageing Positively Grant is helping to support this workshop.
