Students’ take second spot

FOUNTAIN Gate Primary School’s sport aerobics students returned from Sydney last month with some impressive results.
Seven girls made up the two teams that competed at the 2007 AEROskools Australian Championship event held at Homebush Bay’s Olympic Park.
The trio team impressed the judges enough to finish in second spot. The group team also performed admirably on the day and was placed in sixth position overall.
Coaches Fiona Landrigan and Angela Wilson guided the team during regular training and the various events.
Ms Landrigan said fitness, coordination and self-esteem were just a few of the benefits the student gained from taking part in sport aerobics.
