FEDERAL Labor leader Kevin Rudd received a rock star like response during a surprise visit to Eumemmerring College last week.
Mr Rudd experienced first hand the innovative vocational education and training programs being run by the school at its Hallam Campus.
Local Holt MP Anthony Byrne and Labor La Trobe candidate Rodney Cocks accompanied the opposition leader on his visit.
Mr Bynre said Mr Rudd was determined to implement an education revolution in Australia.
“A Rudd Labor Government will invest in the education and training of our kids so they can get the high skilled, well paid jobs of the future,” Mr Byrne said.
“Kevin was very impressed with the knowledge and commitment to learning shown by students at the school and equally impressed with the programs run by Eumemmerring College, which are providing pathways to rewarding careers for our young people,” he said.
