Handgun fear in road rage attack

A MAN has allegedly pulled out a handgun and brandished it at a passing driver in a frightening road rage incident in Narre Warren last month.
Police said it was understood the offender was a passenger in a Maroon Holden Statesman which had moments earlier been involved in an incident with the driver of a four-wheel drive as both vehicles travelled along Glasscocks Road.
After this altercation the Maroon Holden Statesman pulled up next to the 4WD on The Promenade, near Hillsmeade Early Learning Centre, and the passenger of the Statesman then allegedly pulled out a black handgun and pointed it at the driver of the other car.
The driver of the 4WD then sped off.
