EUMEMMERRING College students turned back the clock recently to experience life during ancient times.
The Gleneagles Year 7 group were shown an array of costumes and artefacts from the medieval period during the visit of the Living History Australia Company.
Humanities teacher Anne McKenzie said the day’s program provided students with a variety of activities during the different sessions conducted throughout the day.
Ms McKenzie said the performances depicting the traditional ancient times delighted students and helped gain an understanding of medieval life.
Ms McKenzie said the day was a great way to celebrate the time period and it was enjoyed by all staff and students involved.
“The day’s activities supported a module on Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece which is part of the year seven Humanities,” she said.
“It provided students with a wonderful opportunity to apply their learning beyond the classroom,” she said.
