A DOVETON man will face court charged with attempted child stealing following an incident at Cardinia Reservoir Park last Thursday.
Police said a 14-year-old girl was walking home from school when a man tried to grab her at the Narre Warren East park at 4.50pm.
The girl broke free but was again grabbed before managing to escape to a nearby house, where she reported the incident, police said.
Narre Warren detectives interviewed and charged a 47-year-old Doveton man with attempted child stealing. He has been bailed to appear in the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court in February.
