Kids at play, all right!

By GEORGIA WESTGARTH

AUSTRALIA-wide Children’s Week celebrations landed in Berwick with a free activities day.
The annual week recognises the talents, skills, achievements and rights of children – and the City of Casey put on a free fun day at the recently-redeveloped playground at the Old Cheese Factory, on Thursday 29 October.
Children had the chance to get crafty, have a go at hammering in a nail and strike a few tunes on the African drums.
This year marks 25 years since Australia signed the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, which was the theme of the week.
Children’s week will end on Sunday 1 November.
