A BASEBALL club in Berwick is one of several local sporting organisations to benefit from the Sporting Club Grants Program.
The Berwick City Cougars Baseball Club received a $1000 grant from the Andrews Government to buy new uniforms while the Narre South Cricket Club also received $1000 to purchase new equipment.
“These much-needed grants will ensure our fantastic local sports clubs can secure the uniforms, equipment and resources they need to grow and succeed,” Narre Warren South MP Judith Graley said.
“They play such an important role within our community and provide us all with the opportunity to be more active, happy and healthy.
“It is so very important that we all get up and get active and I hope to see many more local residents take to the field for both clubs.”
