Manhunt after woman stabbed

POLICE have released an image of a man who is wanted over a stabbing and car theft in Berwick on Monday 14 December.
Christos Papathanasiou, 32, is believed to have known a 41-year-old woman who suffered serious stab wounds at a Strathavan Drive home about 9.30am.
The victim was rushed to hospital with non-life-threatening facial injuries.
Casey CIU detectives said that about the same time a man demanded car keys from an occupant at an unrelated residence in nearby Earlsfield Drive and drove off in their car.
No one was injured at the Earsfield Drive house.
The stolen green 1993 Toyota Corolla sedan, with registration number NOJ 386, has not been located.
Papathanasiou is about 178 centimetres tall with a medium build and short dark hair.
He was last seen wearing a dark-coloured T-shirt and shorts.
The wanted man is known to frequent Cranbourne, Narre Warren, Berwick and Dandenong.
He has links to Queensland and may possibly be attempting to travel north through New South Wales.
Police have advised members of the public not to approach Papathanasiou but to phone triple zero immediately if they see him or the stolen car.
