NARRE Warren Bowls Club’s Tuesday’s LVBA pennant round-eight scheduled to be played away at Hampton Park was officially abandoned due to the heat.
Wednesday’s scheduled event of Nominated Open Triples was cancelled and washed out due to rain.
Saturday’s Mixed Social Bowls winners were A. Raile, J. Fox, D. Platt, C. Cowley (s). Best last-game winners were R. Pompe, W. Johansson, B. Potter and S. Birkett (s).
Saturday’s RVBA pennant round eight, Division 4, Section 6 played away at Chelsea and had a very lean day getting well beaten 2/75 to 16/111.
R. Dixon, N. Hosmer, L. Wilcox and G. Duggan (s) won 31/18. G. Miller, J. Hewitt, D. Smith and L. McCurran (s) lost 20/27. P. O’Day, B. Brewster, J. Green and I. Brotherton (s) lost 8/40. L. Metaxas, D. Randall, R. Naismith and G. Manifold (s) lost 16/26.
Division 6, Section 6 played at home against Doncaster and saw a big win to Narre Warren 16/136 to 2/59.
S. Platt, M. Horton, P. Castricum and J. Henman (s) lost 22/23. J. Uren, R. Bligh, S. Bray and D. Amezdroz (s) won 35/18. S. Robinson, H. McCombe, A. Kidd and J. Hickman (s) won 47/7. M. Graham, C. heath, J. Sheahan and J. Schwennesen (s) won 32/11.
