IT WAS a case of the captain’s call at Mossgiel Park Primary School.
The new leaders at the Endeavour Hills school were formally presented with their leadership badges at a special ceremony on Monday 22 February attended by Casey Mayor Sam Aziz.
The new school captains Sonya, Nithin, Isuri and George were among those young leaders who were recognised on the day.
It comes as the new captains at James Cook Primary School were awarded their badges last week.
Four school captains, eight house captains and a number of student representatives and specialist captains were presented with their badges at by Aimee Clydesdale.
Aimee was school captain in 2005 where she flourished as a talented basketball player.
Aimee now plays for the Dandenong Rangers in the WNBL and is in the squad for the Australian Opals.
She spoke to the students about the need to work hard to achieve the best out of life and make the most out of their time at the school.
The election process for the captains involved all candidates presenting speeches to their peers and teachers.
The peers voted for a student who they believed would make a suitable leader at the school and the candidates were then shortlisted.
