CASEY Council is planning to catalogue its more than 200 pieces of memorabilia, before storing them in a digital time capsule ahead of the Bunjil Place development.
The idea was officially raised by Councillor Mick Morland at last week’s council meeting and will see all the artefacts catalogued and made available to the public via an online portal.
The motion, which was carried, called for the digital time capsule to be set up in order to store ‘collections, stories and memorabilia’ currently held by local historical societies.
At this stage the opening of the time capsule has been scheduled for 2038.
