Right result for road concerns

By LACHLAN MOORHEAD

THE installation of a turning lane at a notorious Narre Warren intersection is now underway.
Work has started on the dedicated right turn lane at the intersection of Ernst Wanke Road and Diamond Court in Narre Warren North.
Resident Debbie Hall said the community was “relieved” to see the new works underway.
“Local residents are very relieved to see work started by the council to provide right turn lanes at the intersections of Ernst Wanke Road and Diamond Court, Quarry Road and Renda Court,” Ms Hall said.
The work comes after frustrated residents went to Narre Warren North MP Luke Donnellan about the issue, and also presented a petition to Casey Council in 2014.
“These works are currently being completed thanks to the hard work of the local residents who signed the petition and made their voices heard,” Mr Donnellan said.
“This is a great outcome for the local community that will see safety improved and traffic moving smoothly.”
