Four nabbed in bikie gang raids

A NARRE Warren man is among four suspected members of the Mongols outlaw motorcycle gang arrested by police in joint raids Thursday morning 14 April.
Police – including Casey CIU members – seized firearms including a machine-gun, ammunition, drugs, several police uniforms and prohibited weapons during the raids.
As part of Operation Anorexigenic, the police executed warrants in Oak Grove Drive, Narre Warren, as well as Bentleigh East, Carnegie and Bayswater from 5am.
A 26-year-old Narre Warren man, a 29-year-old man and 24-year-old woman from Bentleigh East and a 29-year-old Carnegie man were arrested.
The four were assisting police with their inquiries and were expected to be charged that afternoon, police say.
Detective Senior Sergeant Shane Rix said the aim of the operation was to identify, detect and disrupt the gang’s criminal activities.
