NARRE Warren Bowls Club’s Tuesday’s VLBA pennant round 14 played away at Edithvale saw a very close game overall with Narre Warren just getting the points 106-72.
M. Clancy, B. Baldwin, J. Naughton and E. Gibb (s) drew 21-21.
E. Naismith, A. Mortimer, M. Horton and S. Bell (s) won 27-15.
D. McGann, P. Uren, T. Henneman and K. Murray (s) lost 26-27.
N. Pugh, W. Haringsma, N. Dickie and E. Arnott (s) won 32-9.
Wednesday’s mixed social bowls winners were L. Klarica, B. Clarke and A. Mortimer (s). Runners-up were L. O’Brien and N. Bell (s). Best last-game winners were J. Nilsson, B. Duiker and J. Hickman (s).
Friday night’s barefoot event was cancelled.
Saturday’s mixed social bowls winners were P. O’Day, L. McGeary, G. Haringsma and N. Bell (s).
Best last-game winners were E. Storey, K. Briggs, Bram Potter and A. Kidd (s).
Saturday’s RVBA pennant round 15 played at home against Keysborough in Division 4, Section 6 saw the rinks divided two each with Narre Warren getting the points 14/105 to 4/92.
L. Metaxas, D. Randall, B. Brewster and G. Manifold (s) lost 20-30.
R. Dixon, R. Bligh, F. Appleby and I. Brotherton (s) won 36-15. G. Miller, J. Hewitt, D. Smith and L. McCurran (s) lost 16-27.
M. Graham, L. Wilcox, G. Duggan and D. Taylor (s) won 33-20.
Division 6, Section 6 played away to Ferntree Gully sharing the rinks, but going down substantially 4-72 to 14-94.
S. Robinson, C. Cowley, R. Hoare and J. Hickman (s) won 22-21.
N. Hosmer, J. Zanon, S. Bray and D. Amezdroz (s) lost 17-33.
L. Klarica, C. Heath, J. Sheahan and J. Green (s) lost 13-28.
S. Platt, J. Uren, M. Horton and J. Henman (s) won 20-12.
