A VICTIM walking along the Princes Highway in Berwick was cornered and boxed in before he was threatened with a knife.
The early morning attack between William Road and Mansfield Street occurred on Thursday 28 July and police are still searching for the offenders.
At around 1.30am the victim noticed that someone was following him.
That person was described as a slim male, of dark colouring and around 178 centimetres tall and wearing a grey hoodie and dark pants, with a Middle Eastern accent.
The offender asked to borrow the victim’s phone, when the victim noticed a second male, wearing a dark hoodie and purple pants.
The second male tried to block the path of the victim and when he tried to run away he was caught, punched and kicked to the ground.
A third offender appeared at this point, armed with a knife.
The victim’s phone and watch was stolen and the three perpetrators left the scene and were last seen walking towards Berwick.
