A NARRE Warren South P-plater has had his car impounded after being allegedly detected speeding at 197 km/h on Clyde Road, Berwick.
The car, with an 18-year-old driver and three teenage passengers, was detected by police travelling at more than double the 80 km/h speed limit about 1.30am on 28 September.
The car stopped at a red light at the intersection of Greaves Road and was pulled over by Cardinia Highway Patrol officers.
The Narre Warren South driver is expected to be charged on summons with speeding offences, driving an overloaded vehicle and not displaying P-plates.
His car has also been impounded for 30 days.
