Little athletes on track

NARRE Warren little athletes were busy last weekend with a twilight meeting on Friday evening at Dandenong Little Athletics Centre.
They then backed up for the Southern Metropolitan Regional Championships at Ballam Park, Frankston, on Saturday and Sunday.
The athletes competed in very warm conditions on the weekend and they can all be very proud of their efforts and achievements.
Many of the athletes progressed to the State Track and Field Championships in Bendigo on 15 and 16 March.
The club congratulated Ashley Albert, Sarah and Amy Burren, Kate Brown, Ethan Cornford, Katelyn Cox, Jayden and Kane Denmead, Ethan and Annalyce Dunn, Chris, Maddi and Stef Fenton, Megan Fisher, Rhea Ferrier, Kylie Lawson, Melina McCallum O’Dea and James Veitch.
This Saturday is the second Pentathlon program for the season.
All athletes will score points for each of the five events on the program.
To gain maximum points, athletes must compete in all five events on the day.
The club has reminded parents to sign on early for their duty so that the program can begin on time.
