Hip hop comp fired up

SIXTEEN of Casey’s best emerging dance crews will be heating up the floor at a hip hop tournament in Berwick.
The Fired Up! event on 19 November will also feature performances by international street dance ex-champions FMD Xtreme as well as Baby Steps, Kstar, RnR and Mummysteps.
Meanwhile, individuals and 16 local crews will compete across urban choreography categories.
Yung Philly will be Master of Ceremonies at the event.
Mayor Sam Aziz said the event was “developed by young people for young people.”
It provided local dancers with a chance to showcase their talents and young people with a chance to enjoy great performances, Cr Aziz said.
The event is presented by City of Casey and Replay Dance Productions.
Fired Up! Is at Berwick Church of Christ, 432-446 Centre Road, Berwick, on 19 November, 4.30-9pm; $18 adults (16 years and over), $15 students/concession, $10 children (15 years and under) and free for children under 4.
