GYM junkies and health nuts descended on Berwick for the first Berwick Health and Fitness Expo on Saturday 12 November.
The event had local businesses showcasing their wears, gyms from the area and further abroad showing what they have to offer as well as demonstrations and a celebrity guest.
Event organiser Julie Cox said despite some patchy weather of the weekend, the event was a great success.
“It came together quite nicely,” Ms Cox said.
“This was our first year and we plan on running it at Berwick for the foreseeable future.”
Ms Cox said the event grew much bigger than she expected and that she was happy with the support from the community.
“Overall we were stoked with the success and local support,” she said.
“Ten months ago we had the idea to just do 30 stalls but on the weekend we had 120-130 exhibitors – all local, gyms, nutritionists, supplements, health coaches, natural therapies, physio, and a lot of kids stuff for local area like Auskick.”
Ms Cox said she owes the local community a big thanks for all the support and is looking forward to running the event again next year.
