Assaulted at home

POLICE are reminding people to make sure their houses are secure, after a man was assaulted inside his Berwick home.
The man aged in his early forties was home alone when an unknown intruder entered the property on Jamieson Way via an unlocked door about 1.20am on Thursday 24 November.
The intruder hit the victim in the head with a wrench and stole his mobile phone, before fleeing the house.
The occupant of the house sustained a small abrasion to his forehead, but was other otherwise uninjured.
Anyone who may have seen a suspicious person in the area at time is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
