Shop break-in caught on film

A NARRE Warren South takeaway shop was the target of a break-in last week.
Police said surveillance footage from the store shows a man reversing a car up to the front of the shop in The Avenue about 4am last Thursday 14 February.
The footage shows the man getting out of the early model white Ford Laser and forcing open the front door of the store.
Casey Criminal Investigation Unit Detective Sergeant Larry Grimshaw said the thief then tried to force the store’s safe but was unsuccessful.
“He has then taken the cash register drawer with a small amount of cash in it,” he said.
Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact Narre Warren Police on 9705 3114.
