Dozing teen hit by car

A teen was hit by a car overnight in Narre Warren while lying in the middle of the Princes Highway.
Emergency services were called to the scene near Victor Crescent just after 2.30am on Friday 26 May to reports a person had been struck by a car.
Paramedics treated a teenage boy for lacerations at the scene before he was taken to The Alfred hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police believe the boy had been lying down on the road before he was hit by the car.
The male driver and only occupant of the car stopped at the scene to help and assisted police with inquiries.
The investigation into the exact circumstances of the incident are under investigation and police urge anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
