The Casey Crime Investigation Unit is on the lookout for a man caught on CCTV following an aggravated burglary in Narre Warren.
Police said that at about 6am on Thursday 8 June, a man broke into a car parked on a nature strip on Browtop Road and stole a garage remote control.
He then got into a waiting vehicle where he used the remote to open the garage of the victim’s house.
The man drove around the block several times while keeping an eye on the house to see if the owner had realised what was going on and if they had closed the garage door.
Once the man was certain no-one was going to close the garage door, he then parked his own car and went through the two cars parked in the garage, stealing a log book from one.
Police have released some CCTV images that were taken the morning of the break-in.
Anyone with information is asked to please contact Senior Constable David Tognazzini at Casey Crime Investigation Unit on 9705 3114 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
