Vets may get relief

WAR veterans living in the City of Casey may soon receive some rates relief.
Council will investigate the possibility of offering discounts to Diggers who hold a Veterans’ Affairs Gold Card. Veterans already receive a rates discount from the State Government, but Casey councillor Michael Farley wants a further rebate to be introduced. An extra $100 discount for Gold Card holders would cost about $110,000, he said.
