Bottle attack sparks brawl

A MAN was attacked with a glass bottle during a vicious brawl at Berwick’s Blitz nightclub on Sunday morning.
The Narre Warren South man, 18, received several stiches to his head following what was described as a cowardly attack from behind.
Police said the incident occurred at about 3am on the dance floor of the popular nightspot.
Casey Criminal Investigation Unit Detective Sergeant Larry Grimshaw said the fight broke out after the bottle was thrown.
He said security guards ejected everybody involved in the brawl and an ambulance was called to treat the injured teenager.
“The victim went to the Dandenong Hospital where he received stitches to his head,” Det Sgt Grimshaw said.
Police said the man who threw the glass was last seen driving off in a red Holden sedan.
Anyone with information about the attack is asked to contact Narre Warren Police on 9705 3114.
