NARRE Warren CFA members have completed one of their toughest jobs in recent memory, with no rescue operation in sight.
A group of 14 firefighters ran 14.4kms and raised $6310 in the process during last month’s Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal CityLink Run for the Kids event.
The team was thrilled with the result and the efforts of all who completed the gruelling run around the Melbourne CBD.
Peter Green was the first team member across the line with a time of one hour and two minutes.
The Narre Warren CFA group was the third highest ranked team in the fundraising stakes.
The event raised more than $700,000 for the Royal Children’s Hospital.
