Carols by Candlelight

What better way to celebrate Christmas then at one of your local Christmas Carols. Gethsemane Church, a not-for-profit, organisation, is hosting their first Carols by Candlelight in Clyde. Barry Bourke Motors in Berwick is sponsoring the event and the church is happy to accept more people who wish to be involved with the event to become a sponsor or a partner.
The event will include free kids’ amusements in addition to a sausage sizzle, burger stand, free food and many more attractions. Performers this year are Yours Truly, Derrick Junkeer, Mel Manuel, Lisa Ann, Noami Horsley, Dancin’Lines, and Ebony Portelli, Triple Treat Talent Academy, and Gethsemane Church Choir.

The Gathering

The Gathering brings together new art from a group of leading artists from the local region that participate in the City of Casey’s Social Support program ‘Yarn and Art’. Established in August 2014, the program, facilitated by respected artists and elder Doug Smith, was developed to provide Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island elders and members of their community with the opportunity to attend a social program that encourages coming together to paint and create, whilst having a yarn.

Casey Stride Series – Race 3

The Casey Stride Series is a new 3 Race Series.
The events will feature a 5km or 10km run or walk along with the Kangaroo Kids two kilometre and Koala Kids one kilometre. The events will be organised on the principles of being fun, friendly and relaxed. They will be designed for all abilities from beginners walking 5km to Olympians looking to have a fun race with the awesome Melbourne Running Community. All participants will receive a free Compressport event T-shirt and finishers medal.
