Man stabbed during

A MAN was stabbed in the back in Narre Warren South last Thursday week.
The 45-year-old was walking along Pound Road, opposite ICA Casey College, when he was approached by three men of African descent at about 10.30pm.
One of the assailants asked the victim for a cigarette and some money. The man refused the request and was then assaulted by the three men.
Police said the victim was kicked several times before he was stabbed in the back with a knife.
The man suffered a fractured nose, bruised eyes and a stab wound during the attack.
He was transported to The Alfred hospital where he received treatment for his injuries.
A Nokia mobile phone and a wallet were both stolen during the incident.
