Colleges get funds to go high-tech

THREE local secondary schools have received funding for technology equipment from the State Government.
Kambrya College ($79,547), Lyndhurst Secondary College ($90,127) and Narre Warren South P-12 College ($96,088) will be able to use the State Government Budget money to purchase, hire, refurbish or maintain technology equipment.
Narre Warren South Labor MP Judith Graley applauded the technological education opportunities which the three schools provide local students.
“Kambrya, Lyndhurst and Narre Warren South provide really high-quality tech education to their students. This new money will ensure that this continues.”
“I have witnessed the amazing work that the students at these schools produce. This new funding will ensure that our kids will continue to have the best possible equipment to work with,” Ms Graley said.
Ms Graley also noted that this initiative would encourage students to remain at school longer.
“The fact is, students who complete Year 12 or its equivalent are much better prepared for the workforce than those who do not. That is why tech education and Vocational and Education Training are so important.”
