Cranbourne jockey Mark Flaherty and trainer John Rattle teamed up to fly the district flag in Saturday’s Group 3 Eclipse Stakes at Sandown.
Flaherty rode Cranbourne Cup winning galloper Show Barry for Rattle in the $125,000 feature race and was the sole locally prepared runner, after Roman Arch was a late scratching due to the effects of a jellyfish sting in an early morning swim.
Show Barry was ridden quietly midfield in the 2100-metre race and |finished well to run a close-up fifth.
