POLICE are on the prowl for two balaclava-clad men who recently committed a series of armed robberies on local milkbars.
One Endeavour Hills business and several throughout Greater Dandenong have been targeted by the thieves.
On Saturday 17 May, two men entered a milkbar at the corner of Darren Road and Patterson Road in Springvale at 3.20pm.
Police from Frankston’s Embona Taskforce said the men, armed with knives, confronted the shopkeeper before making off with an amount of money.
In the second incident, on Tuesday 20 May, two men again armed with knives entered a milkbar on the corner of Clow Street and Ross Street in Dandenong demanding cash, police said.
The men stole cash and cigarettes after the victim fainted.
In two separate incidents yesterday it is believed the same men entered a milkbar in Beau Vorno Avenue, Keysborough, at 3.45pm and then another in Gleneagles Drive, Endeavour Hills, at 7.05pm.
Police said the men were again brandishing knives when they entered the shops.
The two men threatened the attendants before making off with cash and cigarettes.
In all instances the men were wearing full-faced balaclavas and no one was injured.
It is believed that a car is being used to aid their escape.
Police have described the first man as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his late 20s to early 30s, about 180cm tall, with a thin build. He appears to have a long chin and nose.
The second man is also Caucasian in appearance and aged in his late 20s to early 30s, about 175cm with a solid build and short, light brown hair.
Police are concerned that the men will re-offend and may use violence.
Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
