Community invited to have their say on energy

AusNet Services is inviting Berwick and Clyde North residents and businesses to attend a Community Energy Forum on Thursday 16 August.

AusNet Services owns and operates the electricity distribution network across the north and east of Victoria, and is keen to hear from members of the Berwick and Clyde North community about the energy issues that matter to them.

The views of local residents and businesses will contribute to the formal process to ensure that customers are central to determining the type of services and solutions the company invests in and, importantly, how much they cost. This process is overseen by the Australian Energy Regulator.

Former Consumer Affairs Minister for Victoria, Tony Robinson will be a guest speaker at the forum.

“Taking part in the Community Energy Forum will help local residents and businesses to shape the electricity network in future years,” he said.

The forum will be held at Berwick Chase Primary School, 72 Viewgrand Drive, Berwick from 6.30pm-8.30pm.
