Six on car crime charges

SIX men have been charged with more than 90 counts of theft following a recent police investigation targeting car thieves.
Detective Senior Sergeant Ian Wilcox of Narre Warren police said the six men had been charged with 55 thefts from motor cars and 39 thefts of motor cars in the Casey area.
Det Sen Sgt Wilcox said a majority of the incidents had occurred in the Narre Warren, Berwick and Endeavour Hills area and the charged men were all between 18 and 29 years of age. Five of the men are set to appear at the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court at a later date and the other man will appear at Frankston Magistrates’ Court.
