Warrant leads to teen arrest in Narre Warren South

Casey Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested a teenager following a series of alleged thefts of motor vehicles in the area.

A search warrant was executed at a Narre Warren South address about 6.30am on Tuesday, 28 August, with a 16-year-old boy arrested at the scene.

He has been charged with a number of offences, including:

– Three counts of theft of motor vehicle

– Theft from motor vehicle

– Evade police

– Conduct endangering life / serious injury

– Possess prohibited weapon

– Negligently deal with proceeds of crime

– Driving-related offences

The teen will appear before a children’s court.

The charges related to alleged incidents including thefts of motor vehicles and evading police in the Narre Warren and Cranbourne areas over the past two weeks.
