A Berwick chemist jumped on the bandwagon today by raising funds through Rural Aid to help the Australian farmers in need.
A goal to raise $9500 for a semi-trailer load of hay is looking achievable for Chemist Discount Centre.
The Parkhill Plaza store have put together a special hamper filled with goodies, which will be drawn tonight, 31 August at 7.30pm to help raise the much needed funds.
“It’s been really good so far,” Chemist Discount Centre’s Ben Gardam said.
“Today is a storewide fundraising event and there are 13 stores so we hope we can reach out goal.”
Staff member Mani Kaur said, “I think someone has to step in and raise money.
“We’re doing the right thing as a community and so far we have had lots of support.”
Visit a Chemist Discount Centre today, 31 August before 8pm to donate.
