Owner fears pet dog has been kidnapped

A GRANDMOTHER of seven has been left distraught after her dog Jimmy was snatched from her Narre Warren North Street.
The apparent dognapping has left Sara Fuchshofer without her trusty fourlegged companion and the widow said she desperately wants him returned.
Mrs Fuchshofer said she was standing just metres away when her threeyearold black and white shih tzu was stolen in Fontaine Terrace.
The incident occurred about 8.45am late last month and the family has still heard no word on his whereabouts.
But what has angered the 72yearold more is that two children were used to steal her beloved “family member.”
“He was such a loyal and fun dog and the grandchildren just loved him,” she said.
“Jimmy was always the biggest attraction at my house.
“I miss him terribly as he was almost like family to me,” she said.
Mrs Fuchshofer was walking in front of Jimmy when a car slowed down and took him before speeding away.
“Jimmy never went on the road and he was walking about three metres behind me when I heard a voice say, “Quick, get back in the car’.”
“When I looked back they had both car doors open and there were two children jumping back into the car.
“Then the women took off like a shot.
“It never occurred to me that someone would pick him up or that someone would use their children to steal,” she said. Mrs Fuchshofer said the car was an older model red vehicle but she was too shocked to take note of any other details.
“She (the woman) could not have thought that he was a lost dog because I was just three or four metres in front of him and I had the leash dangling in my hand.
“When I looked back it was just too late,” she said.
Mrs Fuchshofer said her grandchildren had been deeply upset by the theft and desperately wanted their furry mate back. Her fiveyearold grandson Ben is especially upset and to make matters worse the youngster also had his bike stolen recently.
“My grandson Ben said to me I hope he bites their fingers when they go to pat him or pick him up.
“He really wants Jimmy to come back and is very upset,” she said.
