Retirement Festival returns to Berwick for week of music

Two local retirement villages will be hosting afternoons of free live music as part of the Lendlease Spring Retirement Festival.

Fiddlers Green in Berwick will welcome The Stiff Gins to their stage – acclaimed for the exquisite voices and raw talent, while Woodlands Park will host Australia’s Girls of Motown.

Audiences at both events can expect to hear all the classics of the past 50 years, be up dancing to the high-energy performances – and in some cases, perhaps even be invited on stage!

These performances are two of 23 free events – from gardening and cooking workshops to live music and fashion parades – hosted at Lendlease villages across Victoria.

This year’s Spring Retirement Festival will see over 60 events nationally. The festival runs from 10 September to 20 October.

The popularity of the festival means bookings are essential. Find out what other events are on offer and reserve tickets at: springretirementfestival.com.au or call the Spring Retirement Festival hotline on 1800 550 550.

“Lendlease Retirement Villages encourage residents to experience retirement in any way they choose,” Lendlease Retirement Living managing director Tony Randello said.

“We’re passionate about improving the well-being of our residents and supporting a strong sense of community – both for residents living within our villages and among the wider community.

“Spring, just like retirement, can be a time of powerful renewal with new experiences to be discovered or old passions and interests to be reignited.”

Mr Randello said the Spring Retirement Festival provides the opportunity for the entire community to come together, try something different, meet new people and have a wonderful time.

“The Spring Retirement Festival is a joyous time to explore and engage in fun and friendship, contentment and connection,” he said.

“The huge variety of activities will reinvigorate you, and leave you feeling inspired.”
