Clear out your hard rubbish

IT’S time to get rid of that old fridge or couch, as Casey’s hard rubbish collections begin on Monday 30 June and will continue for five weeks.
Residents will soon receive a brochure with information on collection dates for different areas and the type of rubbish that is accepted.
Acceptable materials should be stacked in three piles, general hard waste such as household furniture, mattresses and small electrical appliances, green waste, which is up to five bundles of prunings neatly tied with twine or string, and steel and metal items including small car parts and tools.
Paint tins must be empty and have lids removed.
Material must be out by 6am on Monday of the collection week and will be collected by separate trucks during the week.
All items must be able to be lifted to shoulder height and must not exceed 55kg.
Items can not be longer than 1.5 metres in length.
For more information on the collection, contact customer service on 9705 5200.
