SOUTHERN Cross Primary School prep students are taking on the role of Dr Dolittle as they rear rabbits as part of a study on farm animals.
The Endeavour Hills school’s program is in its second year and introduces children to the responsibilities involved in taking care of animals.
Students are given the opportunity to observe and discuss the development of five newborn rabbits and their mother over a period of four weeks.
