The Akoonah Men’s Shed Car Show in Berwick attracted a huge crowd on Sunday, 28 October.

The day provided family fun for everyone.

“It was a great day even though there were multiple car shows around and the Moto GP was on at Phillip island,” Akoonah Park Men’s Shed member Nick Bolis said.

“There was a large contingency of Harley Davison bikes on show. Many of them came in in convoy from Dandenong. There were some great cars and bikes on show.

“There were military vehicles; a great turn out of Chevy Corvettes, about 15 and also on show was a shiny black early model Ford Thunderbird that belonged to Johnny O’Keefe.

“People loved the food that the Akoonah Park Men’s Shed provided. We had many comments that we provided quality food at very low prices.”

There were three raffles, all provided by generous sponsors.

“The live music gave the whole event a carnival atmosphere. We had no complaints,” Mr Bolis said.

Money raised will go towards the Akoonah Park Men’s Shed, men’s health, and the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.
