Local cabbie Omar from Narre Warren will star alongside celebrity chef Anna Gare in Channel 9’s ‘Anna Gare’s Cab Fare’, which airs on Saturday 17 November at 12.30pm.
He is the star of the episode which celebrates the multitude of nationalities, cuisines and deliciousness.
Originally from Somalia, he has been driving for 13cabs for the last 10 years.
“I was so honoured to be part of the Anna Gare’s Cab Fare TV show,” Omar said.
“After driving 13cabs for the last 10 years, they really are part of my family.
“This experience allowed me to highlight my local cuisine which is so important to my culture and it’s brought so much joy to my family who have loved being part of the show. I can’t wait to share the stories with my passengers.”
The show, follows the Anna Gare as she gathers stories and recipes from 13cabs’ diverse network of cab drivers.
