THE City of Casey has received a certificate and trophy recognising its success in working with indigenous communities. The 2007 National Assembly of Local Government honour was awarded in the Strengthening Indigenous Communities category for the city’s Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Policy.
Casey mayor Janet Halsall accepted the award at a recent council meeting.
