Strong winds bring trees down

The severe thunderstorm has brought damaging winds, causing several trees to collapse across roads in Berwick and surrounding areas.

The giant tree in the middle of High Street near the pub has come down across the road, towards the pub, reportedly crushing cars. Narre Warren SES unit, police and ambulance are on-site.

Another tree has fallen into a car park in Main Street, Berwick.

More trees have fallen down along the Princes Highway, Berwick, Clyde Road, Berwick and Scanlan Road, Berwick also causing traffic hazards.

One tree has fallen onto Mansfield Street, Berwick, however it is not causing any traffic hazard.
