Students of Hampton Park Primary School hosted a number of activities as they united for this year’s Harmony Day.
The school dedicated the morning tea to their Aboriginal families on Monday 18 March.
Principal Liz Davey it was a fabulous occasion for families from different cultures across the world to learn more about the culture, history and customs of their Aboriginal families.
“The event was a success with close and a perfect beginning to our week of celebrations,” she said.
Travis Gardner, a Koorie Engagement Support Officer, who spoke at the morning tea provides support services available to students and families at the school.
“HPPS is proud of our students, parents and staff for creating an environment that respects, recognises and celebrates cultural diversity without losing the individual identity,” Ms Davie said.
